IMAGE FROMATS, STORING, PUBLISHING and SHARING

Answer the questions:

1)Find out the most common formats for images and write a short description of the features of each of them.

• JPEG: It's primarily used for photographs. It is a lossy type of format, but most people can't really see the difference. You can adjust the amount of compression when saving a jpeg image, so you do have some control over the final output quality. JPEGs are extremely popular since they compress into a small file size and retain excellent image quality.
• GIF:It is very popular in the web. This is ideal for graphics. They can be static or animated.
  

• BMP: Standart format for Windows wallpaper.
• ART: compresses image files and sends them to you as art files.
• TIFF: It was generally used to hold scanned white and black images. It's a rich and flexible format, supported by many programs. The format is capable to record halftone images whith different pixel intensity. It is considered a perfect format for graphic, data storage and processing. It is one of the most multipurpose and integrated raster formats.
• PNG: It is ysed generally for networking. It is designed to replace dated GIF. It has photorealistic images and it compress the image.
• WMF: It is used to hold vector and halftone images in working memory or in disks with post output displays. It is a especific windows format, so it is supported by a lot of "non-windows" aplications for data exchange with windows applications. It is considered to be a general format for graphic applications and supported by all plataforms.
  
• PCX: Is one of the more usable graphic formats. It is grat inportant for computers and also for the computer industry. They are used for graphics data storage and exchange in desktop publishing system.

2) Which image format preserves quality better when is compressed?

The PNG format.

3) Which formats are more suitable for web design?

The JPEG and the GIF format.

-First you have to turn on the computer.There is a button for this.
-After this you can do what you want. There is a mouse that you can use to click where you want.
-To use the Internet you have to click on the icon of internet but don't be wrong, because there are a lots of icons. If you have clicked you can write the adress URL that you want at the bottom of the screen.

TYPES OF COMPUTERS

Palmtop:
It's tactile and very portable.It's also light and small.But we think that the screen is too small and it's better as an adressbook than as a computer.



Laptop:
In the laptop the screen is bigger and you can carry it around.But like all the computers there are also disadvantages like that you have to recharge the battery and it's also very fragile.



Desktop:
Now we are going to talk about the desktop.The desktop is not fragile and it's faster too.You can work for hours and the screen is bigger, that is a big advantge.The disadvantages are that it's not portable because it's very heavy.



We think that all the computers are very goood!!!
